Mindful Eating with Katie Podralski
Saturday, March 30, 2019 - 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Location: Empowered Yoga Glen Mills
Tuition: $25/Complimentary for EY Auto Renew Members

About the workshop: In this workshop you will learn a variety of mindfulness techniques including eating exercises, self kindness, and guided meditations that help get to the heart of physical and emotional eating challenges. You will learn how to use your body’s cues to help guide your decisions to begin and stop eating, and ultimately how to eat the foods you like without guilt and without overeating. By learning how to replace self-criticism with self-nurturing, you’ll gain freedom from worries about food, eating, and weight.

About Katie: Through her yoga teacher training, Katie found that a lot of her emotions and addictive behaviors were attached to food. She has a passion for cooking, trying all different foods, and doesn’t believe in cutting out foods or restricting ourselves from the enjoyment and bonding we can experience with food. Katie became passionate about Mindful Eating, and moved on to become certified in nutrition, spreading the message that until we fix what is going on in our head-- we won’t make long lasting progress fixing what is on our plates. You can learn more about Katie through her Instagram @katiepodralski and her business website

Restorative Yoga with Chris Vennard
Saturday April 20, 2019 - 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM
Location: Empowered Yoga Wilmington
Tuition: $25 / Complimentary to Auto-Renew Members

Open and rejuvenate body, mind, and spirit, rebuild a stress-free inner life and reclaim your natural state of peace and tranquility.

Restorative yoga is a therapeutic style that uses props to support the body, encouraging deep relaxation. Using passive yoga asanas we let our nervous systems shift and enjoy the benefit of true rest. Different from more active styles, we will concentrate on surrendering our weight to supports and softening into the stretches. This helps us to relieve the effects of negative stress encountered in daily life, and can be highly beneficial in times of fatigue, illness, and emotional strain.

This is an all-levels practice designed to release blocked energy centers, calm the mind and gently open the body; leaving you feeling rested, refreshed, and peaceful. Open to all levels, beginners are welcome. Class size limited.
