What some of our
05-06 Teacher Training Graduates
have to say...

I have been a fitness instructor for 17 years and a yoga teacher for 7. I have attended several teacher trainings with renowned yoga masters. These past few months with Cara and Johnny have taught me more about being a teacher than all of my past teacher experiences combined.

Thank you Cara and Johnny for a very rewarding teacher training experience! Not only have I learned how to begin to inspire and coach yoga students but my own personal practice and body has changed dramatically because of the training....Prior to beginning the training, I had been visiting my chiropractor about 3x per week to adjust my neck and back. I now see my chiropractor 1x per month. I know that this is the result of knowledge gained in training about the principles of body alignment and how the body works and is meant to be worked. Cara and Johnny teach mindful, purposeful yoga. Words cannot express my gratitude for all that I have learned!

What you two put together has been a gift that comes along once in a lifetime, maybe multiple lifetimes. You’ve brought together all the concepts I’ve ever learned that are needed to be a teacher of others. It was a perfect blend of the physical, mental and spiritual things needed to teach the art-form that yoga truly is. Johnny’s knowledge of the body is second to none. Cara’s intuition into the spirit is on the same level. The love for your students and passion of your calling from both of you is far beyond what I’ve experienced before in my yoga path. And it showed in every minor detail of the training you gave us in the last six months.

This training has already improved my yoga practice and teaching far more than I expected, and I know it’s only going to get better. More importantly...much more importantly, it’s renewed my faith and restored my direction into making yoga my life’s practice, just as martial arts once did.

Imagine being taught by Ana Forrest, Baron Baptiste, and Beryl Bender Birch. You have all of this collective wisdom and more when you study with Cara Bradley. One of her favorite quotes is, "I stand on the shoulders of my teachers," and she has studied with the best. Her passion and enthusiasm is contagious. She is able to communicate this is in a very direct and understandable way.

"Yoga starts from the feet, then check the legs. Work your way on up the body to check for proper alignment and form." This very wise advice is given by Johnny Gillespie who has spent many years in the fitness industry. An outstanding yogi and student of Anusara, Ashtanga, and Bikram yoga, his focus is on keeping the body safe while healing it and making it stronger.

The hallmark of this program is the honesty, personalization, and sincerity with which it has been presented. Cara's and Johnny's collaborative style creates an unparalleled program. I have learned so much more about yoga, my body, and my yoga practice.

I am much better equipped to communicate this to my students. I highly recommend this training program for teachers, students, and those who have no desire to teach but wish to enrich their personal practice and knowledge.

Johnny and Cara I feel like I still have you with me. I hear your voices when I teach (at least they're friendly voices!), I often use the inspirational quotes that you, Cara, have so carefully put together and shared with us, I feel I know the body so much better than I ever have because of what you, Johnny, taught us, and the way you shared yourselves as real people with struggles and challenges helps make the whole package much more authentic. No, you are not gods but incredible teachers who I can now call my mentors. Thanks for all of your hard work and belief in us!

I wanted to make sure you both know how much I appreciate your hard work on my behalf. My confidence level as a teacher has soared and I have you to thank for that. My tool box has lots of great stuff in it now. Some tools I'm not even sure how to use yet....but I will.

With only 18 months of teaching experience behind me, the program challenged me and helped me grow. Specifically, I learned more about the anatomical basics of the postures, and how to adjust students who are not in correct alignment.

I learned to listen better to my own voice and avoid common cueing mistakes . I learned the building blocks, from the feet to the soul, of good yoga technique, and I can apply these to any teaching setting or yoga style.

You shared so much of your own personal experiences- mistakes and successes in order to convey teachers should strive for humility not perfection. Your passion to uplift us was felt throughout every session and will certainly be carried forward as your graduates help others discover the strength and wisdom to transform their own lives.

Eternal Gratitude,

Debbie Galla
